Does anyone know how to build a simple one-seater hovercraft/car?

Just like some instructions on how you would go about building one thanks.

Since hovercraft "float" on a cushion of air, the first thing you need is something to create that air cushion... Most use some sort of high capacity fan to suck air in and blow it under the vehicle. A flexible rubber skirt captures the air under the deck and creates a bubble of air for the vehicle to float on.

Next, you'll need another fan to push the vehicle forward, and usually a rudder to direct airflow to steer with. That's about it. Really a simple concept.

If you're thinking about Building A Hovercraft to operate on public streets, then forget it. They are almost impossible to control properly while traveling in a straight line, not to mention turning, maneuvering around obstacles, slowing for other traffic, starting and stopping.

There have been a few large scale Commercial Hovercraft built, but they are still hard to control, and outrageously expensive to operate and maintain.
