How does bernoulli's principle work?

I have a science fair coming up soon in which you have to provide a presentation of a topic and a working model. I have deceided to make my project on bernoulli's principle, but I am kind of confused how it works. Yes, thats a very good demonstration.

To point out the affect of Bernoulli you need to show that when the Hover Craft is very very low to the ground, the velocity of the air is slow (obviously since the hovercraft is low to the ground) however the pressure of the air between the ground and the hovercraft is much higher because the air must flow between the thin gap between the ground and the hovercraft.

On the opposite hand. When the hovercraft is operating at max. The velocity of the air is high (to push off the ground) however now, the gap between the floor and the hovercraft is much larger, allowing the air to flow more freely. This indicates a decrease in pressure.

This completely defines Bernoulli's principle
