    Artificial intelligence has always been a fantacy for the mankind to reach. From the age of Greeks, there have been efforts to automate what humans do. The Greeks used easy and straight mechanisms to simulate human like movements eventhough the seeds of technology were not present. Even before that, they had tales of gods who have mechanical servants.

    The computer science artificial intelligence was emerged with the foundation of computer technology. Computer science artificial intelligence was a modern and scientific approach for the century old fantasy of artificial intelligence. From the beginning of the field of computer science, the scientists kept the eye on the price of computer science artificial intelligence. They recognized that the computers have a potential to create artificial intelligence. Therefore, in parallel to computer programming, the wing of artificial intelligence emerged. When the functional and structured programming languages were developed for regular scientific and business programming, logic programming was introduced for computer science artificial intelligence.

    When the field of AI was first introduced, the science fiction writers and futurists were optimistic about rapid development of the area. But in reality, the developments of computer science artificial intelligence was not that speedy as predicted. From mid of 1940s, computer science artificial intelligence has come a long way, but far behind what has been estimated. As an example, it was believed that by year 2000, there will be robots that look and feel the same way as humans. Although this was a superstitious idea, there has been some kind of advancement in automating the human cognition.

    At present, computer science artificial intelligence has many sub sections, catering many domains of knowledge. Although the computer science artificial intelligence still is in research phase, the by-products have been useful in making useful tools for domains such as aerospace technology, medicine, nuclear science, finance, and education. The software systems called 'artificial intelligence agents' carryout different tasks for helping humans with the process of decision making these fields.

    Automation the full human perception and cognition is computer science artificial intelligence ultimate goal.There are different approaches for achieving this based on various theories proposed. In fact, this has been verified correct, as there are systems that use multiple artificial intelligence elements developed by different approaches for achieving a common objective.

    Although computer science is one of the modern ways of achieving artificial intelligence, there are can be many future ways for trying to simulate the human cognition.
